David Wever, MA
David is a licensed California Marriage and Family Therapist in private practice. In his practice he specializes in sexuality and marriage issues. He is memeber of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists.
David is the East Coast Program Director and main speaker for the Every Man’s Battle Workshop presented by New Life Ministries. A crisis of truth in David’s life in 1995 brought him to a place of facing his own obsession to adult pornography and masturbation.
David brings a special blend to his teaching through his counseling as well as his own sexual obsession recovery. David has had the privilege of walking with over five thousand men in the area of sexual obsession and he has written extensively on the issue of sexual addiction.
David is a graduate of Trinity Evangelical Divinity School where he received a Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology. David is the lead expert at theporntalk.com, a website to help parents talk about porn and other internet dangers with their teens. He has taught at Western Seminary in Sacramento, CA helping to train future marriage and family therapists in their field.
Rebecca Wever, Professional Coach
Rebecca Wever is a Professional Coach pursuing certification with the International Coach Academy in Melbourne, Australia. She has been coaching women around the area of sexual betrayal and codependency in her coaching practice since 2006.
She counseled couples through the Every Couple’s Desire Conferences hosted by New Life Ministries from 2001 to 2004. She continues to direct and teach the eroswounded couple’s conferences with her husband, David, twice a year. Her own story of healing from sexual abuse and sexual betrayal has been a powerful encouragement to women on the same journey.
Rebecca has been involved in full-time and part-time ministry for the past sixteen years. Among her ministry experience she served on staff at Willow Creek Community Church in the Marital Restoration and Divorce Recovery ministries as Program Coordinator.
Rebecca has been married to her husband, David, for sixteen years. Over the last twelve years they have been on a healing journey together in seeing God restore and heal their marriage after David’s admittance of sexual sin and transgression in their marriage.
